Horticultural charity Streetscape will be offering unemployed people the chance to see if they would like to train in horticulture during taster days at Myatt’s Fields Park on 20th and 22nd March and 12th April 2012.

Streetscape say...

“Are you young and unemployed? Ever thought about a career in landscape gardening? Streetscape may be just the chance you are looking for.

We are a landscape gardening company that specialises in providing apprenticeships to 18 – 25 year olds who are long term unemployed.

Come along to one of our taster days at Myatt’s Fields Park to get a feel of what landscaping is all about, and put yourself forward as a candidate for a future apprenticeship.”

Thanks to funding from the Big Lottery's Local Food scheme we are able to recruit a part time Food Manager to take forward a range of programmes in the park.  We are looking for someone for a part time role (21 hours per week, £17600 per annum).  The Food Manager will develop our cafe business as well as running food based education and community outreach programmes.   This will include promoting healthy eating, providing training and employment opportunities for local people and developing a local food culture and showcasing locally grown food.  If you are interested have a look in the web-sites "Get Involved" section, or write to Lindsay Avebury for an information pack: lindsayavebury@hotmail.com ,            0207 640 2306
