Everyone is invited to get into the festive spirit with a Christmas market and candle lit carol concert on Myatt’s Fields Park bandstand on Sunday 16th December. Local traders will set up shop on the bandstand to sell craft goods from 2pm to 4pm, and then children will be invited to make Christingles (an orange surrounded by a ribbon and pierced by sweets and a candle) from 4pm to 5pm.
Southwark Concert Band and singers from St John the Divine church, Vassall Road, will
lead a programme of traditional carol singing from 5pm.
The park’s Little Cat Café will sell mulled wine and traditional Christmas food during the
day.
The free event is funded by the Minet Conservation Association and organised by Myatt’s
Fields Park Project in partnership with London Borough of Lambeth.
