                                      LITTLE CAT CAFÉ

                                      CAFE WINTER OPENING HOURS
The Little Cat Café will be open from 10.30am to 4pm on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays throughout the winter (November to February).

We will be selling a fresh daily soup made where possible from vegetables from
the greenhouse, as well as rolls and sandwiches, cakes, hot and cold drinks.
The café is located near the bandstand and provides a focal point for the
community to get together over a nice up of tea, coffee, sandwiches, salads,
cake and ice cream. One of the star features is the impressive Gaggia coffee
machine (loaned by Rich Coffee) which means our baristas are able to turn out
perfect lattes, cappuchinos and hot chocolate (yes of course we do de-caf and
soya milk too). Salad is freshly picked from the greenhouses, all our cakes are
lovingly baked by local people and the bread is fresh every day.

                                      The café is:
                                      • supplied by the park’s greenhouse with salad and vegetables
                                      • a social enterprise run by the community for the community
                                      • supported by the community with volunteering and baking
                                      • offers employment, training and work experience placements
                                      • supported by Big Lottery’s Local Food Fund and the Walcot Trust

                                      FOOD PROJECT

Volunteers grow beautiful vegetables and fruit in our greenhouse. We want local
people to use these to cook and share food together. We aim to build a truly local
food culture based on the knowledge of people living around the park.

                                      How Do I Get Involved?
All the activities outlined below are free to attend and all are welcome to come along and see what’s
                                      happening. No booking required.

                                      Food Heroes
Saturdays 10.30-1pm at Myatt’s Fields Depot (by the greenhouse)
We pay local people to teach other people about their food.
We hope to build a local food culture, learning from people living around the park.

                                      Young Food Heroes
We want young people to explore the food they like, run the café on special days, and learn from each
                                      other.

We are currently planning these activities: if you would like to be involved, please
                                      contact Rebecca Maddox on rebeccamaddox@myattsfieldspark.info.
