GARDENING
Introduction:
Greenhouse project: For the past year, we have been growing vegetables and
fruit in the greenhouse area, helped by a wonderful band of volunteers.
The produce is used in the café and in food projects in the park, and surplus is
either frozen or preserved, or sold at the café or during events.
Nature Conservation Area: we have a pond, orchard, wildflower meadow and a
bug house. We want to do much more as it is so important to have access to this
sort of ourside space in such an urban area
EVENT: 9th July 2011: learn how to maintain fruit trees during a workshop from
10.30am to 2pm. Led by the London Orchard Project and funded by WREF
Help us look after plants in the greenhouse during a session from 11am to 1pm.
Led by Bob Johnson and funded by Capital Growth
Both sessions open to all and free
