Learning at Myatt's Fields Park
Natural Thinkers
Myatt’s Fields Park is a Natural Thinkers site. This means we offer a range of ways that support children, parents, schools and groups to learn and play in nature. Schools, nurseries and other groups can enter into an agreement with us to use resources in the park. These include: our shed in the nature area, packed full of resources including equipment for pond dipping, digging, den building and whittling and our outdoor mud kitchen, which is located Supporting the park through the Natural Thinkers programme helps us develop the wildlife area (eg growing food or habitat maintenance). It costs £150 a year for schools and groups to make use of the Natural Thinkers equipment in the park.
Sports
Every summer we make space in the picnic area to mark out a running track so local schools can host their sports days in the open space of the park. Why not get your class out into the fresh air and hire the football pitch for PE lessons?
Volunteering
Are your students going for their Duke of Edinburgh award or National Citizens' Service? We can help place older students to carry out volunteering in the park, this could include litter picking at the weekends or joining in with our Friday gardening group.
Concerts and events
The Bandstand in Myatt's is a perfect place to host concerts, debates or recitals. Click here for more information and hire rates.
