Join us in celebrating the talent of young people in our community from 2-5pm on Saturday 20 July, with music and dance performances on the bandstand, a graffiti wall and break dancing in the tennis courts. Please note: the area around the bandstand, cafe and tennis courts will be dedicated to the event for three hours, and the cafe won't be selling alcohol during this time. Everyone is very welcome to attend!
LEAP Early Years Forum
Share your views on local provision for young children at Myatt’s Fields North from 10am to 1pm on 19 July. Find out how to apply for a LEAP Community Award of up to £2,000 for groups to run activities for 0-3-year-old children and their families.
Make Myatt's a smart park
We're collaborating with researchers from Lancaster University to explore how technology can help us improve park management and allow park users to have a better experience, for example by reporting problems, finding out what's on or learning about air quality on a specific day. Please help us by filling in this short survey, which takes 3-4 minutes.
Little Sports Day
Come to the Mulberry Centre from 10am to noon on Saturday 20 July for a special session dedicated to sport, offering football training for families with children under four years. There will be free food to share too!
New at the market
From this Sunday we'll have sand arts activities for kids, paella is back on the menu, and Indian Fusion will be trying out some new recipes after the storming success of their colourful steamed bread. Jazz folk singer-songwriter Rosie Frater-Taylor and Longfield Voices over 50s choir will be performing. Plus Fishtale, Marsh Farm, Aston Bread, our community greenhouse plant stall and refill station. See you there!
Volunteer with our gardeners
Our Gardening club is running as usual every Friday 9.30am-1pm, with a special greenhouse session from 10.30am-1pm on this Saturday 13 July. Everyone - including supervised children - are welcome. Learn more about gardening, help us grow plants for the park and enjoy a free lunch.
First aid training
If you're aged over 50 and interested in learning first aid, come along to this free workshop with St John's Ambulance at Brixton Community Base, Talma Road, SW2, on Thursday 18 July from 2-4pm. Call 08941624247 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up.
