Myatt’s Fields Park Project is recruiting for a community gardener who can help develop our park
greenhouse area into a centre of excellence for food growing, as well as offering support to ten local growing projects each year.
In 2013, thanks to a grant from City Bridge Trust, we are able to expand the help we can offer to local food growing projects by employing a community gardener to offer training and support on and off site from Myatt's.
Please see attached for a job description.

The Little Cat Café will now open from 10.30am to 5pm on Friday, Saturday and Sundays throughout the summer.

SUNDAY GREENHOUSE OPEN DAY SUNDAY 7TH APRIL
Everyone welcome to come along and help us plant vegetables on Sunday from 11am to 2pm. This is a great way of finding out what we do in the greenhouse project (growing food and vegetables for community use) in a relaxed environment.
There will be a hot Indian meal for everyone who takes part from 1pm.
FOOD SESSIONS AT THE PARK
Everyone is welcome to come along on Saturday (6th April) and learn how to make a fusion of Caribbean, Chinese and Thai food which will include chicken and vegetable stir fry followed by apple tarte tatin.
The sessions are open to everyone – come along and help cook, or just turn up and eat at noon if you want to. You don’t need to be an expert cook, we design the sessions so people can just roll up their sleeves and help with chopping, stirring and eating!
We pay food heroes £40 to teach other people about the food they know and love. No experience is needed and you will be supported by our food manager Fiorella Fronzi during the session. If you are interested in becoming a food hero please contact Fiorella Fronzi on firstname.lastname@example.org.
FAMILY COOK AND EAT BREAKFAST CLUB
We’ll be meeting up to make spinach and feta muffins at the family cook and eat breakfast club this Friday (April 5th) from 9am in the Mulberry Centre. The family cook and eat sessions allow children and adults to cook and eat together. Everyone welcome.
RETIRED PEOPLE'S LUNCH CLUB
Retired people are welcome to come and eat lunch made with vegetables and fruit from the greenhouse at the depot from noon each Friday. These sessions are informal and friendly and everyone is welcome.
The food sessions are funded by the Big Lottery Fund’s Local Food scheme.
