Free family fun day bank holiday Monday 27th August 1-5pm
Local church group PH Brixton will offer a family fun day with free barbeque, sports, quiz zone, pamper zone, obstacle course, face painting and more in the picnic area of the park during the afternoon of the bank holiday. Free tickets are available from eventbrite
Coco the magpie rescued by cafe
When a baby magpie fell from the nest and was brought into the park cafe on 15th July, grandmother Melany took over his care. He's been fed with caterpillars saved from the greenhouse by our community gardener Fabrice as well as bird and cat food. Named Coco by Melany's grandson Daniel, he will be released as soon as he can manage by himself.

Moving home or redecorating? If you would like to keep your goods in a clean, dry environment close to home on a monthly basis, please get in touch. Cost £400 a month entire container. with all funds raised used to maintain the park. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to express interest. Viewings in September.
Gardening club every Friday 9.30 - noon
Our gardeners Taye and Marion have done a fantastic job, working with local gardeners to plant up eight beds around the roundhouse this year. Everyone is welcome to join them at this friendly, informal session each Friday which ends with a free lunch at the cafe.
Bandstand music programme
Our music programme will continue with a rehearsal by Kausery 16 piece Anglo-Peruvian brass band 11am - 1pm on 1st September. Then Stop Look Listen will presenting the best new acoustic and indie-folk acts from London and beyond from noon - 2pm on 2, 9, 23 September and 7th October.
Incredibly Edible Bags
Help feed your family with Incredible Edible LEAP! They will provide free healthy food bags for six weeks and invite you to get involved in community cooking. Minet library summer fun
There's still plenty of fun to be had at Minet Library with their summer reading challenge including a Knights journey to the King's Throne on Friday 17th August, Slime School at 1pm on 24th August and the summer party from 3.45pm on 9th September. All events are free: call 0207 926 0750 to book a place.
Grove adventure playground open Monday to Friday - 31 August 10:30am - 5.30pm Ages 6 - 14
Local volunteers, with support from Loughborough Junction Action Group, have come together to re-open the Grove Adventure playground. Activities include adventure play, games and arts, and a design and build project.
History of Loughborough Road: exhibition at the Jamm 26th September 7pm
LEAF TRA will be talking about what they've found out about the people that ran and used the shops and pubs on Loughborough Road. Follow the history project on facebook and twitter @Road SW9. Also everyone welcome to go along and share your memories of the road.
