Beautiful veg growing in the park
Fen (pictured here) is growing magnificent Chinese gourds in our greenhouse garden. Our produce is grown without pesticides by local volunteers. The greenhouse is open to visitors on Fridays during our gardening club 9.30am - noon and on Sundays from 2-4pm. Everyone welcome (children must be accompanied)
Water play: up and running after twig in the works
A rogue twig (pictured here) caused days of closure for the water play recently. Thank you to the engineers who tracked down the problem and got the system up and running. The water play is open 10am-6pm every day, any problems, please contact Lambeth who manage the system.
Wriggle and Rhyme at Minet Library
7th August 10.30 - 12.30pm
There will be free food, crafts and other activities at this special summer session of Wriggle and Rhyme at Minet library. Organised in partnership between our family engagement team and Lambeth libraries.
Summer soul and vinyl memories 1-3pm Sunday 22nd bandstand
Join Michelle Killington this Sunday between 1pm - 3pm to share rare groove, soul, reggae, Afro Beats, Motown and Studio One sounds. If you'd like to bring along a record to play please email here. And next Sunday: Lambeth Wind Orchestra will play on the bandstand from noon - 2pm.
Our veg at Myatt's Market
10 - 3.30pm each Sunday
We sell fresh, affordable produce at Myatt's market every Sunday. Also at the market this Sunday will be children's clothes, toys and gifts, Sutton Community Farm and face painting. Next Sunday learn about the history of the park from a descendent of Joseph Myatt - she'll be running an art workshop!
Teddy Bears Picnic
Picnic area 8th August 2 - 4.30
Enjoy a drumming workshop, make a waxed cloth cover for your picnic container and share free food at our teddy bears picnic. Join other families for a walk from Liz Atkinson children's centre to the park or come straight to Myatt's for 2pm. All families with children under four years welcome.
Home From Home
Longfield Hall 1st August 6pm
Enjoy a diverse performance of drama, dance and song celebrating the diversity of culture that makes up London life. Showcasing talented young participants from this year's summer holiday workshops and Longfield Hall's own Longfield Voices singing group.
