Sleepover 23rd to 24th June

I’m writing with a reminder that the sleepover will be held this weekend which means the park will be closed to everyone but campers from 5pm on Saturday 23rd to 10am on Sunday 24th June.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Music on the bandstand and café barbeque

The Trouser Band will help to kick off our free summer music programme which will see performances on the bandstand most Sundays from now until September. The music is from 2pm this Sunday (24th June.

The Little Cat Café will host a Caribbean barbeque from 1pm.

Food sessions at the park

FOOD HEROES

This weekend will see Oli Knowles, chef from Brixton’s Cornercopia, coming to cook grey mullet, greenhouse salad and deep fried poached eggs during the cook and eat session from 10.30am on Saturday 23rd. Everyone is welcome to come along and cook and then share the food with other people.

We pay food heroes £40 to teach other people about the food they know and love. No experience needed and you will be supported by our food manager Rebecca Maddox during the session. If you are interested in becoming a food hero please contact Rebecca Maddox onrebeccamaddox@myattsfieldspark.info.

FAMILY COOK AND EAT BREAKFAST CLUB

We will be making baby blueberry pancakes at the family cook and eat breakfast club this Friday 22ndJune, which takes place in the Mulberry Centre from 9am to 10.30am.

Parents and children cook and eat together during these sessions, which are free.

RETIRED PEOPLE'S LUNCH CLUB

Retired people are welcome to come and eat lunch made with vegetables and fruit from the greenhouse at the depot from noon each Friday.

The family cook and eat, food heroes and retired people’s lunch club are all funded by the Big Lottery Fund’s Local Food scheme and are free to all participants.

GREENHOUSE OPEN DAY

We are in for a treat on 1st July, when we have our usual greenhouse open day, a free lunch for all participants and then a free additional training session from 2pm.

Everyone is welcome to come along and help us look after plants at the greenhouse during our open session from 11.30am. You are also welcome to help us cook lunch using vegetables from the greenhouse, and then to eat it together.

Incredible Edible Lambeth is holding free training sessions for gardeners at different sites across Lambeth and will be looking at summer sowing for autumn and winter during the session on 1stJuly from 2pm to 3.30pm in our greenhouse. This will have an emphasis on adding value, well-being, vitality and nourishment.
