Gardening day success
A huge thanks to all you brilliant volunteers who came along to our community gardening day. We really showed the weeds who's boss! The beds look so much better and we had great fun working and chatting with you. We’ll be planning more sessions in future. Interested? Email Sara.
Campaign: Camberwell Station
We love Camberwell but it’s not the easiest place to get to by public transport. That might change for the better if this new campaign led by Priority Action for Camberwell to re-open the historic railway station is successful. Find out more and sign the petition here.

Vote for Myatt's Fields Park at Tesco!
Myatt's has been selected as one of three finalists in the Tesco Bags of Help Scheme. We need bags of help from you in the next week to help us win £5,000!
All you need to do is vote for us in your local Tesco as many times as possible in the next week (before the competition closes on 29th April), starting today! Just ask the cashier for a Bags of Help blue token and place it in the box marked Myatt's Fields Park. You can do this at the Tesco in Kennington Lane.
Winning £5,000 will help us to:
Work with Single Homeless Project to teach people new skills, provide accredited training and help them into employment
At the same time grow food in our greenhouse for the cafe, cooking projects and for local people to share
Grow seedlings for local food growing projects on estates, in schools and by roadsides
Bring people together through food growing
Vote now, vote often to help us make Myatt's Fields Park a winner! And please spread the word – tell all your friends and networks about our bid!
Haven't we had gorgeous weather lately? We can't wait for our annual Summer Fair, happening this year on Saturday 17th June from 1 to 5pm. Save the date! There’ll be live music on the bandstand, a Big Lunch with delicious free food, served by Brixton People’s Kitchen, a children's fairground, fun activities run by local community groups and an inspiring Parade for Peace around the park at the end of the day. To find out more about the event or to book a stall (open to commercial or community organisations and individuals) or a table as part of the Big Lunch (community groups only), email Victoria.
Local resident and bird enthusiast Philip Fletcher is hosting a free family-friendly bird walk on Saturday 3rd June from 10-11am, starting at the cafe. Places are limited to 20 so contact Sara to book. Binoculars and stout shoes recommended!
