Thanks to everyone who made it along to our Annual General Meeting last week - among them local entrepreneur and chef Levi Roots. It was really inspiring to come together and discuss where we’re at and where we’re going.
The past year has seen some great successes. The cafe’s gone from strength to strength. On top of our summer fair, harvest and Christingle events, we hosted a wonderful bat walk led by Dr Iain Bolton and a fantastic sleepover with Father Nature. The Mulberry Centre has re-opened as a nursery, offering free stay & play sessions for local parents. Our team has expanded to include gardeners Marion and Taye and Sara, our park manager and we’ve collaborated with some terrific organisations, including Lambeth Tigers, Brockwell Muslim Women’s Group and the Single Homeless Project.
In the wake of funding cuts, we've been working with the council to develop ways for the charity and community to help keep the park clean, green and bursting with life. This year we're hoping to offer lots of new ways for you to support the park through volunteering, fundraising and community projects, while keeping pressure on the council to provide a good level of service.
We’ll keep you posted on plans as they progress but if you have any ideas or would like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you. Contact Sara on email@example.com
