Empower From Within led the musical programming across a series of major community events in 2025, creating vibrant cultural spaces that celebrated heritage, youth talent, and community connection.

At the Windrush Celebration (22 June 2025), the park came alive with the sounds of the legendary Abakush Female Band, followed by The Mergers, who blended reggae and jazz to honour and celebrate the Windrush legacy. DJ Michelle Killington kept the energy flowing throughout the afternoon, providing continuous music for the crowds. The event was further enriched by the Black Cultural Market, which showcased local entrepreneurs offering Caribbean food, arts, and crafts, creating a lively and uplifting community gathering.

At the Family Fun Day (13 July 2025), Empower From Within placed young local talent in the spotlight. Performances included Oronti Oluwakola (former The Voice UK contestant), Ester Ole-Mentea from the Brixton Artistic Development Programme, and DJ IYAXLA, who delivered an energetic set blending R&B, soul, hip hop, garage, and Afro house. Families enjoyed a full day of free activities including giant inflatable slides, a ball pit, and an obstacle course, all set against a vibrant soundtrack provided by local musicians and performers.

The Harvest Wellness Festival (21 September 2025) continued this celebration of creativity and wellbeing, featuring performances by Taz, Taneka, Rae, and Nadia—emerging young artists supported through Raw Material and Empower From Within. The event also featured Vibes FM Radio, which provided a live broadcast and entertainment for visitors, further extending the reach of the festival’s cultural programming. The festival was further enriched by Black Growth, which showcased local entrepreneurs, including food growers, cultural cuisine, arts, and crafts and brought in wellbeing activities creating a vibrant and uplifting community celebration.

Through curated live performances and collaborative programming, Empower From Within created inclusive and uplifting spaces that celebrated Caribbean heritage, strengthened community connections, and provided meaningful opportunities for young artists to develop, perform, and share their artistry.
