Myatt's Fields Park Project is the charity dedicated to keeping this green space thriving. But our work goes far beyond mowing the grass. From supporting local families and hosting cultural festivals to driving sustainability and horticultural excellence, we are building a healthier neighbourhood for everyone.
Don’t just take our word for it—explore our Project Gallery below to see the real-world impact of our work in action.
Food Five Ways is a collaborative partnership of local grassroots organisations in Lambeth that already work with food, including running pantries, supporting food growing, delivering food locally, and operating community food businesses - with a shared ambition to build a neighbourhood where no one struggles to access good-quality, culturally relevant, and affordable food.

The redevelopment of the Myatt’s Fields Park Depot is a community-driven vision. By placing local residents, community groups, and park users at the heart of the design process, we have ensured that the new depot will be a truly multifunctional space tailored to the neighborhood's unique needs. This project transforms an underutilized site into a highly visible, attractive hub that is both cheaper to maintain and more environmentally efficient to run. Beyond providing modern facilities, the redeveloped centre is designed to be an engine for local growth, offering a dedicated space to nurture community enterprise and foster social connection for years to come.

The historic greenhouse is a rare survivor from when parks grew their own bedding plants on site, avoiding demolition when others were removed. Since 2000, it has been central to supporting local and vulnerable communities, growing seedlings for community gardens, hosting horticulture training and cooking sessions, and supplying plants for use across the park.

Led by Black Growth, a dedicated Black women-led organisation, the Harvest Wellness Festival returns for its third year as a vibrant hub for celebrating cultural diversity and nurturing local talent. The festival highlights Black-owned businesses while blending music, wellness, and community connection, strengthening both the local economy and a shared sense of belonging.
In 2026, Black Growth, former Black Farmers Market joins forces with several partners, creating an expanded space where Black growers, creators, and community leaders can thrive together.

Myatt's Fields Park Project is a charity led by local people that supports the park. We have a management agreement with Lambeth Council that means from 2023 - 2030 we provide:
Lambeth remains the owner of the park and is responsible for setting and the enforcement of bye-laws.
We are working to become more financially sustainable, better meet the needs of our local communities and make our governance more effective and inclusive. Get involved or find out more: enquiries@myattsfieldspark.info
