Bench donation scheme
Benches are dedicated for many reasons; to celebrate special occasions, as gifts or to commemorate the loss of friends, family or pets.

.Is it possible to dedicate benches in Myatt’s Fields Park?
Yes – Myatt’s Fields Park Project recently took over the service from Lambeth Parks, making it easier for locals to use this service. Who manages the bench dedication scheme? The bench dedication scheme is managed by Myatt’s Fields Park Project – the charity that supports the park. We work closely with Lambeth Parks Department to manage current and future bench dedications. How long will my dedication be there? Dedications last for the natural ‘life’ of the bench (as long as the bench is fit for purpose and safe to sit on), which can be up to 30 years. After benches have to be removed, Lambeth Parks Department will decide whether they want to replace it, and if they do, we will get in touch to offer you the chance to dedicate a new bench in its place. If anything damages the bench you have dedicated in the first ten years, we will restore it or replace it as necessary. After this period, we cannot guarantee your dedication. |
