Lambeth Community Connections Project

We are excited to announce that Myatts Fields Park Project have received funding from Lambeth Community Connections Fund.

The grant will enable us to support people from the African diaspora and people of colour to:

Develop new skills and knowledge that will help them in their own career and work initiatives
Better understand and manage their wellbeing needs
Benefit from improved mental and physical health
Have increase community access to food
Reduce isolation for older people, young people families and children.

We want to encourage and support people to engage with the park and have a greater pride in their neighbourhood as a place they want to live and work.

To do this, we need your help. We are particularly hoping to recruit people from the African diaspora and people of colour for the following roles. Could this be you?

MFPP Food Heroes

Do you enjoy cooking? Are you excited about sharing recipes from your family origins? Why not become one of our Food Heroes, providing meals for one of our many projects and more!

Events Team

We need some enthusiastic volunteers to help us with our exciting events programme. Building event equipment, setting up and helping with stewarding on the day.

It's a really rewarding opportunity to get involved in your local community, develop skills, meet people, build your CV, help us put on brilliant events and get paid!

We are looking for a team of up to 8 young people aged 18+ , who are well, motivated and energetic.
