Get Involved

We aim to organise a range of events and consultations over the next year for people living around the park, but focussing if we can on events and activities for young people, older people and parents and carers. These events will include everything from trips to tea dances, community lunches, sports and arts activities, pet’s days and a camp out for families.

During this time we will be gathering information about the kind of services you want in Myatt’s Fields Park. We will do this by talking to you and asking you to fill in questionnaires.

We will also hold regular meetings of our sub-committees, so you can get involved with helping us plan the services you want.

During 2010 a lot more people have got involved in the park project, whether it’s helping in the café or growing in our greenhouse, planting in the wildlife area or stewarding at events. We hope that this will grow and a lot more people will be involved in the park project. We hope that a lot more people will have a greater say in what happens in the park. We also hope that you will gain new skills in everything from gardening to fundraising to organising events, and that these skills will help the project, your community and yourselves.

·                   Keep an eye on the website for events and activities and more ways you can join in.  If you would like regular information, fill in the form (Keeping Informed) so we can send you regular information
