Green Pearl parsley and Italian Giant parsley
Plant these correctly and they will be cropping all the way through to next spring. Use a high nitrogen fertiliser like chicken manure. |

Amouranth cabbage and Golden Acre cabbage
Plant at least 45 cm apart – firm and deep. Use a high nitrogen fertiliser like chicken manure. You will need to protect them from pests over summer. |

Endives
A bitter lettuce salad leaf that's really easy to grow. There's not much more to be said really! |

Four types of lettuce
1. Torrengo 2. Little Leprechaun lettuce (it's not little!) 3. Lettuce 'Suzan' 4. Little gem lettuce called Maureen Needs good light. Bolts quickly. Not as vulnerable to pests as cabbage. |

Beetroot
Grow in clumps – not separately (3 or 4 seedlings). And plant about a foot apart. Harvest the largest one first to get lots of small ones over a long period of time. |

Chard and Perpetual spinach
Perpetual spinach, like chard, is extremely easy to grow. They're very high yielding – harvest once every 10 days. Although be careful not to over-harvest. They need lots of light and like really fertile soil. They're also a good container plant. |

How to remove seedlings from module trays
It's so easy to damage the plant and the tray. Never squeeze. Tap and use gravity. Top tip: make sure your seedlings are well watered. When you come to remove them, it will be much easier. |
