Community business weekend
Meet the team on Sunday 19 May, 12-2pm and find out about supporting the park - at our new community-run market or volunteering as a Litter Legend. Enjoy free Moroccan food, a bubble machine and badges for kids in a gazebo by the cafe, plus music on the bandstand from Kausery.
The market is relaunching
It's back from 19 May, 10am-2pm with stalls selling plants and veg from our greenhouse, refillable cleaning products, handcrafted cards and hot food. Want to help organise it? Email firstname.lastname@example.org
Welcome Father Nature Father Nature, who support communities to design and develop their outdoor spaces, will be based in Myatt's for six months. As a thank you they're sponsoring a new table tennis table. They'll also help to run community and volunteer days.
Discover the bats of Myatt's Fields
Join Dr Iain Bolton on Satuday 1 June for a free walk around the park to learn about Britain's only flying mammal and how to identify bats in your own home and garden. Bring torches and outdoor clothing. All welcome! Meet at 9pm at the depot.
Making our park bloom
This month we've used income raised from hires to repaint the bandstand and roundhouse. We planted and mulched around the bandstand over the winter and planted fruit bushes in the sunken garden and are now growing flowers in the greenhouse to plant out at the end of May. Volunteer with our gardeners Fridays 9.30am-12pm.
Summer fair - get involved!
The countdown is on to our summer fair on 22 June, from 1-5pm. Would you like to run a stall? Or to help us run the dog show? Email Tori on email@example.com
Nunhead Cemetery open day Explore this beautiful green space on Saturday 18 May from 11am-5pm, with woodcrafting demonstrations, a family treasure trail, a children's bug hunt, morris dancing and more.
