FOOD SESSIONS AT THE PARK
FOOD HEROES
For fans of Thai food there’s a treat on 3rd November when we’ll be learning how to make tomkah gai with steamed rice, chicken breast and baby mushrooms.
The sessions are open to everyone – come along and help cook, or just turn up and eat at noon if you want to. You don’t need to be an expert cook, we design the sessions so people can just roll up their sleeves and help with chopping, stirring and eating!
We pay food heroes £40 to teach other people about the food they know and love. No experience is needed and you will be supported by our food manager Fiorella Fronzi during the session. If you are interested in becoming a food hero please contact Fiorella Fronzi by email .
FAMILY COOK AND EAT BREAKFAST CLUB
We’ll be making fruit salad faces at the family cook and eat breakfast club this Friday (November 2nd) from 9am in the Mulberry Centre. The family cook and eat sessions allow children and adults to cook and eat together. Everyone welcome.
RETIRED PEOPLE'S LUNCH CLUB
Retired people are welcome to come and eat lunch made with vegetables and fruit from the greenhouse at the depot from noon each Friday. These sessions are informal and friendly and everyone is welcome.
The food sessions are funded by the Big Lottery Fund’s Local Food scheme.
