FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT IN MEMORY OF LOCAL TEENAGER
Lambeth Tigers (who train young footballers in Myatt’s Fields Park) are organising a football tournament on Monday 29th October in remembrance of Junio Nkwelle.
The club says: “The Lambeth Tigers family are saddened by the tragic death of Junior Nkwelle who passed away on Thursday 27th September aged just 15 years.
Junior was an aspiring coach and much loved, respected volunteer worker and role model at Lambeth Tigers who had his whole future ahead of him.
Junior gave up his time to volunteer at the club during holiday camps and weekends. He had an amazing rapport with our young footballers and was a friend to many of the older boys.”
The football tournament, which is being held as part of Kick Racism out of Football, will be held from noon to 4pm on 29th October. Tournament age groups: U8, U9, U10
If your club or school would like to enter please call Lucia on 07956 101387.

FOOD SESSIONS AT THE PARK
FOOD HEROES
Everyone is welcome to come along and learn how to make healthy continental vegetarian dishes during the Food Heroes session from 10.30am on Saturday 27th October.
And for fans of Thai food there’s a treat on 3rd November when we’ll be learning how to make tomkah gai with steamed rice, chicken breast and baby mushrooms.
The sessions are open to everyone – come along and help cook, or just turn up and eat at noon if you want to. You don’t need to be an expert cook, we design the sessions so people can just roll up their sleeves and help with chopping, stirring and eating!
We pay food heroes £40 to teach other people about the food they know and love. No experience is needed and you will be supported by our food manager Fiorella Fronzi during the session. If you are interested in becoming a food hero please contact Fiorella Fronzi on [email protected].
