MUSIC ON THE BANDSTAND
Lambeth Wind Orchestra will give a traditional wind music performance on our bandstand from 2pm this Sunday (5th August).
FOOD SESSIONS AT THE PARK
FOOD HEROES
Learn how to make delicious Nigerian akara and hot pepper sauce during our cook and eat session from 10.30am on Saturday 4th August. Everyone is welcome to come along and cook and then share the food with other people.
We pay food heroes £40 to teach other people about the food they know and love. No experience needed and you will be supported by our food manager Rebecca Maddox during the session. If you are interested in becoming a food hero please contact Rebecca Maddox via email.
FAMILY COOK AND EAT BREAKFAST CLUB
We will be having fun with toast at the family cook and eat breakfast club this Friday 3rd August, which takes place in the Mulberry Centre from 9am to 10.30am.
Parents and children cook and eat together during these sessions, which are free.
RETIRED PEOPLE'S LUNCH CLUB
Retired people are welcome to come and eat lunch made with vegetables and fruit from the greenhouse at the depot from noon each Friday.
*NEW* "ICE CREAM PARLOUR"
Make and eat ice cream from fruit grown in our greenhouse during sessions from 3pm to 5pm on Thursday 16th and 23rd August 2012.
We will be making ice cream in the park’s roundhouse and children of all ages are welcome to join us.
The family cook and eat, food heroes, ice cream parlour and retired people’s lunch club are all funded by the Big Lottery Fund’s Local Food scheme and are free to all participants.
GREENHOUSE OPEN DAY
Everyone is welcome to come along and help us look after plants at the greenhouse on Sunday 5th August during our open session from 11.30am. You are also welcome to help us cook lunch using vegetables from the greenhouse, and then to eat it together.
